Leisure Courses

Leisure Courses

We offer 5-day leisure courses for those who would like to try upholstery for the first time or already enjoy upholstery and would like to develop their skills or have help with a specific project.

There is no limit to the number of 5-day courses which can be booked and a number of students book a series of weeks either to run consecutively or throughout the year to allow for larger projects.

We’re very happy to offer guidance as to a suitable project for a 5-day course, If you don’t already have a chair in mind and aren’t sure what to bring.

Tresithick Leisure Upholstery Courses

The cost of a 5-day course is £395.00. We provide all the build materials needed for the rebuilding of your chair and these are charged for separately at the end of the week according to use.

We can also help you to choose a suitable upholstery grade fabric and trim for your chair from our range of suppliers who are generally able to deliver within a couple of days.

  • I need accommodation, where should I stay.

Cornwall is awash with great places to stay!

We maintain a list of local accommodation which we will send to you on request. This varies from self-catering, B&B to campsites.

If you have a project that you want to do, however simple or complex, Tresithick is the place. I am not a total beginner but Richard and Zoe can guide me to produce something that I am proud of. What I like is that they don’t just tell you what to do but explain the significance of each process. They teach in such a way as to make you feel competent (even if you are being a complete idiot!). They are so patient and are happy to explain things several times. I have learnt so much from them.

I cannot recommend this highly enough.
