As an Approved Training Centre for the Association of Master Upholsterers and Soft Furnishers (AMUSF) Tresithick Upholstery has been running their successful upholstery courses from their beautiful Cornish workshop for 16 years.

The courses are led by Master Upholsterer Richard Hooper and are designed to suit a wide range of abilities from the novice to those who already have some experience in upholstery.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our teaching. We only take a maximum of 4 students at a time with a tutor who combines over 28 years’ experience in the adult teaching environment with a wealth of experience carrying out work for the National Trust, large private estates and top interior designers.

Whether you’re new to upholstery or looking for a change in career,

join us to further your interest in a delightful tranquil setting.

If you want to learn upholstery from a true master in an excellent, well organised environment, this is the place for you.

Richard and Sonja are obviously extremely experienced and 100% committed to the service they offer their students. The workshop is located in a gorgeous old Cornish estate and the atmosphere is a perfect balance of serious learning and laidback fun banter :)

Highly recommended.
